Inclusive Trainings and Workshops
At the Law School, we are eagerly working on professional, cultural and civic engagement. To achieve this, we hold workshops that help build inclusivity amongst various stakeholders.
Hearing One Another
Provides an opportunity for students to better appreciate the richness of one another’s identities and start developing conversation habits that can promote more meaningful interactions and a stronger sense of belonging.
Inclusive Leadership & Implicit Bias
A conversation on topics including: lawyers as leaders, why diversity matters, and diversity & implicit bias in the academic and legal profession.
Chicago Day of Service
A group training and service opportunity to introduce law students to the City of Chicago. This day of service begins with a training on entering, engaging and exiting communities appropriately, followed by an opportunity to serve those who share this community with UChicago.
Healing Circles
A group workshop facilitated by a trained practitioner that leads dialogue with provocative questions that can lead to generative conversations throughout the process. Sessions consist of large group work and smaller breakout work between partners, called dyads, through half-day, full-day or longer experiences. The experience relies on intentional listening. This workshop is organized by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and their Restoring to Wholeness project.
