Presenting student organizations: International Law Society Human Rights Law Society

Anand Grover is one of India's leading human rights litigators. For over four decades, Mr. Grover has argued and won major cases in the Indian Supreme Court and High Courts advancing LGBTQ rights, access to life-saving medicines, the rights of people living with HIV, and many others. Trained as a biochemist, Mr. Grover is a pioneer in using science to advance health rights in India and worldwide as the former United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health (2008-14). Anand Grover will discuss lessons learned from his advocacy and their relationship to the international right to health.

This event is cosponsored by the University of Chicago Law School's International Programs, International Law Society, Human Rights Law Society, the Pozen Family Center for Human Rights, Biological Sciences Division, and Department of Medicine.
