Kourtney Hahn, JD/MBA ’14, recipient of Burton and Adrienne Glazov Scholarship Fund on her scholarship

When I graduate from the University of Chicago, I plan to put my joint law and business degrees to work in low-income communities providing legal service to help entrepreneurs navigate the maze of regulations. I want to do this kind of work because of my own background; I come from a low-income family, and after earning my undergraduate degree from Florida State University, I taught disadvantaged students in Teach for America for two years. I find the application of law and economics fascinating, and I want to put this field to work in the public interest.

It was extremely important for me to have some financial support as I made my decision to go to law school. This scholarship has provided me the opportunity to pursue my legal career at one of the best law schools in the nation, and it will give me the chance to help many other people in the future.
