Alex Steele joined the Office of External Affairs at the Law School in 2015. Prior to serving as Associate Dean, he held a variety of other roles, including work as a frontline gift officer, and most recently as the Senior Director of Development, responsible for external fundraising for the Law School including principal and major giving as well as international activity. Before joining the Law School, Alex held a series of roles in development at the global headquarters of Easter Seals, an international non-profit organization. His responsibilities included work with individuals as well as corporate and foundation giving.
 
Alex received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, with a major in Foreign Affairs and minors in History and Astronomy.
