Student Scholarship Questionnaires

The Law School’s ability to provide scholarships to its students depends, in large part, on the generosity of our alumni and friends, who provide vital support to the Annual Fund and to our scholarship funds each year. Details about your scholarship are listed in the Law School’s Announcements publication.

Please click on the below link (select only your current Law School class year or program) and complete the series of brief questions about yourself and your law school experience to date, as well as upload your current resume and a photo of yourself.

The Law School will share your submission with the donor(s), whose generosity made your scholarship award possible.

Thank you for your participation! If you have any questions, please review the below Frequently Asked Questions or feel free to contact Ellen Kinczewski.

Is this money in addition to my current financial aid?

No, this is not additional financial aid. This is simply a naming of the scholarship support you have already received.

Why didn’t I hear about this until now?

The Office of Financial Aid sends out a summary of the financial aid package before students arrive on campus. The Law School does not match students to specific scholarship funds until later in the year.

Can I list this scholarship on my resume?

Yes. In fact, we encourage you to do so. The scholarship listing on your resume documents the confidence the Law School has in your abilities and potential.

What criteria are used to select me as a recipient of this scholarship fund?

Sometimes, donors will specify preferred criteria with which to award scholarships. The Law School will then make every effort to match students to specific funds based on the donors’ stated wishes. (In some cases, this will not be possible.) Other times, donors will specify that aid be used as general scholarship support.

Details about your scholarship are listed in the Law School’s Announcements publication.

Why is my participation in sharing information about myself and thanking donors so important?

As we show our appreciation for gifts from alumni and friends, it is our responsibility not only to thank them, but to also keep them regularly informed of the work their gifts are supporting. Your participation in acknowledging the Law School’s most generous donors is critical and much appreciated. As a beneficiary of a scholarship fund, you join a long and impressive line of recipients, many of whom are themselves now scholarship donors.
