Join the Law School Orientation Team
The Orientation Team (O-Directors, O-Leaders, O-Aides, and Pre-Orientation Directors) are a group of 1Ls and 2Ls who welcome the incoming class to the University of Chicago Law School. We are seeking students with boundless energy and Law School spirit to help support the newest members of our community. O-Leaders will lead small groups of students through orientation week activities, provide advice, answer questions and connect incoming 1Ls to the Law School's resources.

What does an O-Team do during Orientation Week?
O-Leaders will work with the Dean of Students staff to assist with the preparation, implementation and execution of Orientation week programming. This includes: registration, class photo, rotating group meetings, the Kapnick program, and off-campus outings. This position requires the ability to work well in a team, pay attention to detail and provide excellent student service.
What are the expectations of the O-Team?
- Attend a March or April lunchtime meeting hosted by the Dean of Students Office
- Attend Orientation Training on September 19 and 20 and Orientation on September 23-27.
- Serve as a positive role model for incoming students and an ambassador for the Law School at all times and in all mediums
