The book examines a new paradigm for law, where rules vary person by person. “Reasonable person” standards would be replaced by a multitude of personalized “reasonable you”. Vulnerable consumers would receive stronger protections, age restrictions for risky activity would vary according to each person’s riskiness, and shoppers would receive personalized food labels tailored to their dietary preferences. If data and algorithms can help personalize the law, should we welcome this brave new world?
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
