Over a year ago, residents in parts of East Chicago, Indiana were notified that they
should “temporarily relocate” due to soil contaminated by lead and arsenic. While
the EPA has initiated a clean-up plan, there is still great environmental work to be
done and families are still in limbo. Join Debbie Chizewer, an attorney at
Northwestern University Pritzker Law School’s Environmental Law Clinic and
Emily Coffee from the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law to learn
more about the myriad environmental, housing, and public policy issues at play.
