Mary Nissenson, '77: 1952-2017
MARY NISSENSON
Passed away Monday, October 23 in Greenbrae, CA. A Chicago native, Mary was a graduate of Vassar College and University of Chicago Law School, where she was the first woman elected president of the Law Students Association. She was a Peabody and Emmy Award winning broadcast journalist. Mary's company, Foresight Communications, served as principal architect for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month for its first decade. She is survived by her mother, Norma; her sister, Carol Nissenson (Rabbi Arnold Saltzman) of Washington, DC; nephews, Joshua Saltzman (Hagar Sadan) of Forest Hills, NY and Michael Saltzman (Kaitlin) of Burbank, CA, as well as many loving friends.
