Dr. Richard L. Sandor and Henry M. Paulson, Jr.
“Economic Growth in China: Prospects and Potential Pitfalls”

Richard L. Sandor is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Environmental Financial Products LLC. As Chief Economist and Vice President of the Chicago Board of Trade, he pioneered the first interest rate futures contracts.

Sandor is also the founder of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX). He is currently a Lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School and a Distinguished Professor of Environmental Finance at the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University. He is often credited for founding the field of Environmental Finance.

Henry M. Paulson, Jr. is the Chairman of The Paulson Institute at the University of Chicago, which he founded in 2011 to address global issues including efforts to strengthen the important relationship between the United States and China. Previously, Paulson served under President George W. Bush as the 74th Secretary of the Treasury from July 2006 to January 2009.

Before going to the Treasury Department, Paulson had a thirty-two year career at Goldman Sachs, serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since the firm’s initial public offering in 1999.
