Judge Susan Carney joined the Second Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals in the spring of 2011. After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1977, Judge Carney clerked for Judge Levin Campbell on the First Circuit before entering private practice. She served as an associate general counsel for the Peace Corps from 1996 to 1998, and then as Yale University's Deputy General Counsel before being nominated by President Obama to join the Second Circuit in 2010.
