The Honorable Judge Richard Posner has sat on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals since 1981 and taught at the Law School since 1969.  He is the author of dozens of books on topics as varied as aging, counter-terrorism, sex, the judiciary and, of course, Law and Economics. According to Fred Shapiro he is the most cited legal scholar of all time.

This Wednesday at lunch Judge Posner will be speaking in Room II about the founding of law and economics as an intellectual movement and its philosophical basis.
