Maria Pellegrini, ’13, recipient of Nancy Lieberman Ellman Scholarship Fund on her scholarship
I am incredibly grateful for my education at the Law School. I have had truly inspiring professors and challenging and rewarding class experiences. I have taken a wide breadth of classes, including environmental law, federal income tax, fair housing and legal ethics. I also have had wonderful experiences outside of class, as the secretary of the Latino Law Students Association and in the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights clinic. I have gone on the Spring Break of Service trip to Jackson, Mississippi, and I’ve played intramural broomball.
My scholarship has helped me have the confidence to explore the law and follow my interests. I look forward to joining the legal community when I graduate in June and someday having the ability to donate to a scholarship fund myself to make law school more affordable.
