Professor of Law Prepares to Celebrate 50 Years of Service
In February, Professor Ann Lousin will celebrate her 50th anniversary in legal education. After graduating from the University of Chicago Law School, she joined the research staff for the Sixth Illinois Constitutional Convention. Following her work at the convention, Professor Lousin served on the staff of the Speaker of the House of Illinois and was the Parliamentarian of the House from 1973 to 1975.
She joined the law school faculty in 1975, where she began teaching commercial and constitutional law. This semester, she is teaching Sales Transactions and Illinois Constitutional Law. Outside of law school, she has held several governmental positions, notably as Chair of the Illinois State Civil Service Commission. She has also served on various charitable boards and has lectured abroad.
