Roger Thomas Brice, ’73, 1948-2023

Robert Thomas Brice

Roger Thomas Brice, 74, son of the late William H. and Mary L. Brice, passed away peacefully at home with his family in Chicago, IL on January 2, 2023 due to Alzheimer's disease. The first in his immediate family to attend college, Roger excelled at school and in his career as a labor and employment lawyer. He was Student Body President at DePaul University (summa cum laude, 1970) and Associate Editor at the University of Chicago Law Review (Juris Doctor, 1973). Roger was admitted to the Illinois Bar, Iowa Bar, U.S. District Court, U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. Throughout his life, Roger remained commited to helping young people overcome barriers as others had once helped him, serving on the Board of Directors and as pro bono counsel for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago for over two decades.
