The Mountain West boomtown of Boise, Idaho, will soon be host to a full-service office of Dorsey & Whitney LLP, with two longtime local attorneys coming aboard from Stoel Rives LLP to launch the international law firm's latest location.

Nick Taylor and Richard Hall have jumped ship from Stoel Rives to help Dorsey & Whitney establish a foothold in the expanding Boise market. Taylor said the two new Dorsey & Whitney partners would be bringing a healthy client list with them as well as looking for opportunities to grow with both new clients and new associates in the coming year.

Taylor was not yet able to share an estimate of how many attorneys would be based in the Boise location when the office is fully staffed; Dorsey & Whitney's formal announcement issued Wednesday said the firm "expects to announce additional new attorneys in the Boise office in the coming days."

Taylor, who heads up the new office, will focus on mergers and acquisitions, while Hall will focus on regulatory affairs and energy transactions, but Dorsey & Whitney has its sights set on bulking up the newest office into a full-service outpost.
