President Trump Taps Emily Underwood, ’13, to Serve as Special Assistant and Senior Policy Advisor
President Donald J. Trump has appointed Emily Underwood, ’13, to serve as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor for Policy, focusing primarily on economic affairs.
Underwood is Clinical Professor of Law and the Bluhm-Helfand Director of the Innovation Clinic. She joined the Law School’s clinical faculty in 2018. She previously practiced corporate law as an associate at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, and prior to that, as an associate at Sidley Austin LLP.
Underwood holds a BA in Finance and Legal Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a JD with honors from the Law School.
