Lori Berman was elected to the Florida State Senate in 2018. She represents District 31, which consists of part of Palm Beach County. She is currently the Vice Chair of the Health Policy Committee and additionally serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Environment, and General Government, the Education Committee, and the Environment and Natural Resources Committee.
Prior to her term in the Florida State Senate, Lori Berman served as a representative in the Florida House of Representatives since 2010. As a State Representative, Lori Berman was the Democratic Deputy Whip (2012–2014) and the Democratic Floor Leader (2016–2018). She has additionally served as both Vice Chair and Chair of the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation, as well as Chair of the Women’s Legislative Caucus. She began her career as an attorney in Florida, after attending George Washington University Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude in 1983.
