Second City Improv Communications Training
The Office of the Dean of Students presents Second City Improv Communications Training, a Keystone Professionalism & Leadership Program. On February 1st, join Second City's Director of Outreach & Diversity, Dionna Griffin-Irons for a 2.5 hour dose of improv, leadership tools, and creative communication strategies for your career and the courtroom. Dionna shares her best kept tools that every law student should have in their back pocket. No prior experience necessary, only permission to improvise.
Dionna Griffin-Irons is a Second City Detroit alumnus. In her 10+ years working with the legendary Second City, she has performed with Improv All Stars, Theatre on the Lake, Chicago resident stages and produced numerous shows for the company's corporate division. Her Outreach and Diversity work has taken her abroad to Norway and Latvia where she faciliated workshops for the United States Embassy to teach improv in the regions. Her background includes stage performance, talent identification, teaching and producing. Preference will be given to those students who completed the 2011-2012 Keystone Professionalism & Leadership Program and to those students who have logged points for the 2012-2013 Keystone Professionalism & Leadership Program. Please note that students who took the Spring 2012 Leadership course with Dean Zarfes and Michael Bloom are not eligible to participate in this program because of overlap with Second City’s presentation to that class.
