While most corporate restructurings have historically taken place in court under the auspices of the federal bankruptcy code, out-of-court liability management exercises (LMEs) have grown to constitute the majority of restructuring practice in the last decade. In this two-part lunch talk series, Professor Buccola will walk through the legal and financial terrain of LMEs as distinct from the bankruptcy code. 1Ls interested in restructuring/bankruptcy practice are especially encouraged to attend this series in anticipation of pre-OCI.
