Judge Silvia Rosà has been a trial judge at the Court of First Instance of Bolzano, Italy since 2012, where she hears general civil (contract and torts law, inheritance law) and commercial cases (corporate, intellectual property, trade mark law, insolvency).
Judge Silvia Rosà is also an educator at the Italian High School for the Judiciary, training judges from the district area of Trento-Bolzano. She was appointed to the School in 2021 by the Italian High Council for the Judiciary. Her teaching focuses on European and international law, in particular on topics such as the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary.
Judge Silvia Rosà holds a Law Degree and a PhD from the Leopold-Franzens-University of Innsbruck, Austria. Her research topic focused on the trade of "made in Italy" foodstuff products in and outside Europe. Before working as a judge, she worked as an attorney in a law firm in Bolzano, Italy. She is fluent in Italian, English, German, French, and Spanish.
