The IU College of Arts and Sciences invites you to engage in meaningful dialogue about the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. This series is a conversation about the complexities of war and its impact on individuals.
This three-part series brings together a diverse group of experts who do research in, and in some cases, have personal experiences in war-affected countries in the Middle East. This series addresses the psychological and social impacts of war; the importance of community support systems; the role of education in fostering empathy; and the risks faced by scholars in expressing their views, and the role of academic institutions in supporting and safeguarding these freedoms.
Panelists for the third and final session include:
- Genevieve Lakier, Professor of Law, University of Chicago Law School
- Ben Robinson, Professor of Germanic Studies, Indiana University Bloomington
- Steve Sanders, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Professor of Law, Maurer School of Law, Indiana University Bloomington
