Join Lecturer Forrest Deegan & Law School alum Thoufiq Kutty for a lively discussion about the expanding world of corporate compliance.

Forrest Deegan

Forest Deegan is a Lecturer in Law, teaching Corporate Compliance and Business Integration this Spring. He is also the Co-Chair of the Corporate Compliance and Ethics Subcommittee of the ABA's Business Law Section.

Forrest Deegan served as the first-ever Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer for both Victoria’s Secret (2021-2024) and Abercrombie & Fitch (2015-2021). With both companies, Forrest was responsible for building and enhancing their corporate ethics and compliance programs and teams.

During his time at Victoria’s Secret, Forrest was the head of the corporate compliance and sustainability functions with a global team of over 30 associates responsible for the Code of Conduct, Anti Corruption, Supply Chain Transparency, and Anti-Harassment.

During his time at A&F, Forrest was responsible for corporate compliance and the third party risk management program. He also served as the primary in-house attorney for A&F’s first joint venture, its first joint operation, and its first franchise.

Thoufiq Kutty

Thoufiq Kutty is a 2003 graduate of the Law School and began his career in private practice, where he focused primarily on corporate litigation and investigations. He has held compliance roles at Walmart, the University of Chicago, and Dollar Tree, and is experienced in implementing and managing compliance programs in multiple regulatory environments and across the globe. In addition to compliance, Thoufiq’s experience includes enterprise risk management.
