UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health - Global Health Rights Litigation Project - Spanish speaking volunteer opportunity!

The Human Rights Law Society is seeking Spanish speaking volunteers to participate in the Global Health Rights Litigation Project (GHRLP) under United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health Anand Grover.   A UofC Law alumnus is working on this project and has asked for some help from current students!
Volunteers will receive pro bono credit under the Public Interest Law and Policy program. The principle aim of the project (funded by Ford Foundation) is to create an online database and manual for health law practitioners that compiles health law from every jurisdiction in the world!!  The project needs help with analysis and relevant translation of cases from Latin America.  These judgments are in Spanish and must be translated into English. Volunteers will be asked to read and briefly summarize (2 to 5 sentences) the right to health issues addressed in each case.  For some cases this may involve only translating parts of the judgment, only those portions that address right to health issues.Volunteers will be responsible for either translating case opinions (more or less verbatim) or writing up case summaries (2-5 sentences).  We have estimated that you can read 1-2 cases per hour, so even a few hours is very helpful! Information Meeting is NEXT TUESDAY, JANUARY 18 IN ROOM A, 12:15 - 1:00!!  We will have a skype session with the project leader live from India!
