Impostor Syndrome Workshop
Have you ever thought to yourself, “One day people will realize I don’t know as much as they think”? If so, you are in good company. Dismissing success as luck, believing that success is undeserved, and living with a fear of being “found out” as not being as smart or talented or deserving or experienced as people think is a common occurrence; so common, in fact, that the term “Impostor Syndrome” was coined to describe it. Law students are not immune, and it is important to make sure that we do not give our fears the power to keep us from taking the actions needed to achieve our goals and ambitions. Facilitated by Dr. Adia Gooden from Student Counseling Services, this program is intended for participants to understand how common the impostor syndrome is while providing tools to overcome it. Presented by the Office of the Dean of Students, RSVPs are requested. Light snacks will be provided.
