Join If/When/How and ACS for a discussion with Professor Carol Sanger on SB8 and the future of abortion access. Professor Sanger is an expert scholar of reproductive rights and the author of About Abortion: Terminating Pregnancy in the 21st Century. She is the Barbara Aronstein Black Professor of Law at Columbia University and has received several awards for her teaching, including the Law School’s Willis L.M. Reese Prize for Excellence in Teaching, Columbia University’s Presidential Teaching Award, Social Justice Initiatives’ Outstanding Public Interest Faculty Member of the Year, and the Columbia Law Women’s Association’s Myra Bradwell Award for her commitment to mentoring female law students.

This convening is open to all invitees who are compliant with UChicago vaccination requirements and, because of ongoing health risks, particularly to the unvaccinated, participants are expected to adopt the risk mitigation measures (masking and social distancing, etc.) appropriate to their vaccination status as advised by public health officials or to their individual vulnerabilities as advised by a medical professional.
