Please join the Domestic Violence Project and the Child Advocacy Society in an interesting discussion about how child protection and the best interest standard overlap with domestic violence cases. Lawyers have to grapple with the tough question of whether returning a child to a mother, who may be dealing with battered person syndrome, or may be prone to abusive relationships, is in the best interest of the child.
