Diversity Month Program: Mariame Kaba on Race and Youth in the Criminal Justice System

1/17

Open to the public

Ms. Kaba is the founder and director of Project NIA (http://www.project-nia.org/home.php), whose mission is to dramatically reduce the reliance on arrest, detention, and incarceration for addressing youth crime and to instead promote the use of restorative and transformative practices, a concept that relies on community-based alternatives.

Sponsored by Defenders, BLSA, and Office of the Dean Students as a part of Diversity Month.
