Orit Kamir was a student of Catharine MacKinnon's at the University of Michigan, a drafter of Israel's sexual harassment law, active in the legislation of Israel's Stalking Law, Violence in the Family Law, and Women's Names law, among others.  She is the author of numerous articles and books in English and Hebrew, including, in English, Framed: Women in Law and Film and Every Breath You Take: Stalking Narratives and the Law.

(Professor Kamir will also present a paper, "Collective Memory, Law and a Lack of Women: How Can Women Be Remembered in a Trial Between 'Amalek' and 'The Beautiful of Mind and Body'" at the Law School's Workshop on Regulating Family, Sex, and Gender from 4:00-5:30 in the afternoon of February 29 in Room E at the Law School)
