Ariel Alter, '09
Director, Business and Legal Affairs at NBCUniversal
Ariel Alter is a Director of Business and Legal Affairs within the Television and New Media Distribution Group at NBCUniversal. She is responsible for a variety of content distribution matters, including drafting and negotiating agreements related to the licensing of film and television content for television and digital/new media clients. Prior to joining NBCUniversal, she spent over 6.5 year practicing mergers & acquisition law at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP.
Kiersten Fletcher, ’10
Assistant United States Attorney at United States Attorney's Office - Southern District of New York
Following graduation from the Law School in 2010, Kiersten worked as an Associate at Morrison Foerster LLP where she handled white collar defense and regulatory matters and represented individuals pro bono pursuant to the Criminal Justice Act. Since 2015, Kiersten has been an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York, where she prosecutes criminal cases involving fraud, money laundering, economic sanctions, firearms and narcotics.
Karen Kaplowitz, ’71
Founder, The New Ellis Group
Karen was the third woman lawyer hired at O’Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles. She left after 3 years to found one of the first women-owned law firms in LA. She was then a partner for 18 years in a prominent litigation boutique in LA. Twenty years ago she founded a business development strategy and coaching firm. She works with partners in law firms around the country to help them build their practices.
Kathryn Ordower, ’10
Executive Director of Legal, Glossier, Inc.
Kathryn began her career at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, where she started as an associate in the Business Trials Group but quickly switched to the Entertainment and Digital Media practice group. After 3 years of firm life, she entered the startup world and spent the next 4 years at Gilt Groupe. A little over a year ago, she left Gilt to start the legal department at Glossier, a beauty startup based in NYC.
Alison Zieske Preiss, ’06
Partner, Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz
Alison’s practice focuses primarily on advising both public and private companies in a wide range of industries in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, complex restructuring deals, cross-border transactions, securities offerings and joint ventures. Ms. Preiss also advises boards of directors and board committees with respect to proxy contests, takeover defense strategies and other corporate governance matters.

Lindsey Weiss Harris, '09
Principal, Kobre & Kim LLP
Lindsey regularly represents large corporations, boards of directors, hedge funds and corporate executives in high-profile deal litigation, shareholder disputes, complex civil litigation, and independent investigations. Prior to joining Kobre & Kim, she worked for four years as a litigation associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where she contributed to a number of significant deal-related litigation battles. Following graduation, Lindsey clerked on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals for the Honorable Pamela Ann Rymer.
