Mark Kende is the James Madison Chair in Constitutional Law at Drake Law School and Director of the Drake Constitutional Law Center. He received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law school, and went on to clerk for Judge Julian Cook, Jr. of the Eastern District of Michigan. He spent some time in private practice with Miner, Barnhill & Galland, P.C before joining the faculty of University of Montana Law School and then Drake Law School in 2004. In 2009, Professor Kende spent a year in South Africa as a Fulbright Scholar, where he studied the constitutional transformation from Apartheid to a democratic government.
