We have entered a moment of shifting global alliances, technological transformations, and global health and climate crises that require us to redefine solutions for the ever-evolving threats to the nation. In our search for new tools, we must be aware of how law conceptualizes both the nation’s security and the nation itself. The University of Chicago Legal Forum will convene scholars to discuss how national security law adapts and responds to climate change, artificial intelligence, big data, pandemics, and cybersecurity threats. We hope to contribute valuable insight into such issues through a rigorous and interdisciplinary exploration of Reimagining National Security.
