Enforcing International Law in Times of Constitutional Backsliding with Yeghishe Kirakosyan

Yeghishe Kirakosyan, a Malyi Visiting Fellow at the University of Chicago Law School, delivered an insightful lecture on the perception, enforcement, and impact of international law during periods of constitutional backsliding. Mr. Kirakosyan is the Chair of the LLM Program in International Courts and Arbitration at Yerevan State University in Armenia, as well as the Republic of Armenia’s Representative on International Legal Matters. In this role, he represents Armenia in ongoing cases before the International Court of Justice, the European Court of Human Rights, and various arbitral tribunals. 

Yeghishe holds a bachelor’s degree in jurisprudence, an LLM and PhD in International Law from Yerevan State University, an LLM from Georgetown University Law Center, and a JSM from Stanford Law School.
